NEC HOME ELECTRONICS

13 DECEMBER 1991

While screenshots may make this look like a straightforward platformer, it’s actually a little different. It’s (for most levels) an auto scroll platform shooting game, where you are constantly running, dodging and building up different ‘powers’ accessed by holding down the fire button. These range from whirlwinds to multiple genies and can get quite destructive when fully powered. For the most part, I found this game really good fun to play. The simple gameplay works in it’s favour - it doesn’t try to be deep but just gives you a quick blast. It can be faulted - some levels are too short, others are graphically a bit boring, but like the best games, you can stick it on for a quick bash whenever you feel like it.

GRAPHICS: Some nice scenery, some of it quite plain.

SOUND: Superb title and level one music, the rest of it it fine.
